Orientation for all Freshman (U9) students is Friday, August 23 starting at
8:00 a.m. in the Donahue Gym.  *We will also host an optional parent
orientation for freshman parents the same day at 8:15 a.m. in the BHS
Library.*  The event will run until 9:00 a.m. with presentations from the
following groups:

   - Welcome: Principal Erin Schweng
   - Meet U9 Vice Principal, Tonia Coleman
   - Meet U9 Counselors
   - Attendance Office (How to report and clear a student absence)
   - Volunteer Coordinator, Lisa Sibony (How to get involved at BHS)
   - BHS Athletics (How to register your student to play a sport at BHS)
   - BHS Parent Resource Center (How we can help you navigate BHS)
   - BHS Health Center (What services are offered and how students can gain
   access)
   - PE Waiver Information
   - Berkeley High School Development Group (BHSDG)
   - Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)

There will also be informational tables from community partners and parent
support organizations:

Parents of Children of African Descent (PCAD)

City of Berkeley Young Adult Project (YAP)

Berkeley High School Development Group

Berkeley High School Athletics Fund

Berkeley High School Athletics Department
