The PTSA's final meeting is next Wednesday, May 29th, from 6:30 to 8PM in the CCC (2nd floor of Admin Building).
At 6:15 a light dinner will be available consisting of chicken, vegetarian sides, and salad selections from Poulet.
We'll discuss follow-up developments to previous meeting's math and student anxiety discussions to include:
-Math Peer Tutoring - Ramona Coates will give an update on progress made this year
-LANA, developed by Harvard/Stanford grad Nina Hooper, is a self tutoring chat box web tool for Math 1 and 2 students; it is already loaded with module summaries; students can sign up at http://www.lana.education
-Student Anxiety and Emotional Health - the PTSA has partnered with DOUGH to have a sustainable funding source to establish a BHS Wellness Hub to promote awareness of current resources on campus and provide funding for existing and new programs.
-DOUGH, developed by UCB senior Akbar Khan and used by UCB students, allows parents to credit student accounts with money that can only be spent on food at local restaurants; students can receive discounts and rewards and order ahead to skip the line. https://www.doughpay.co/parent
