Green Dot is an anti-bullying and anti-harassment program at Berkeley High
School. It capitalizes on students who influence school culture by
training them with skills to intervene when they notice issues such as
sexual harassment, assault, bullying and dating violence. Students go
through a one day training and then continue to meet with leaders every
other month to discuss:
- Current issues that have been happening,
- How to create a positive change/ positive school culture
- A space for student voice
Our final training of the year is this Thursday, May 16th. During these
meetings we need *SNACKS* for our growing cohort of hungry teen students.
We are approaching some funding sources but could really use some donations
right away for an upcoming meeting. Snack ideas include but not limited
to: tangerines, bananas, granola bars, popcorn, cookies, fruit snacks,
juice, water, etc. Each training has about 35 students.
If you have any Safeway, Target or Trader Joe's gift cards of any
denomination feel free to donate them! Pop them in an envelope and either
drop them off at school or mail them to our attention:
