Day, Heritage and Horizons: "Lighting the Torch for the Future”*

*How:* Complete registration and liability forms to be sent within 2

The Black Recruitment and Retention Center <http://brrc.berkeley.edu/>
(BRRC) at UC Berkeley is a Black Student-Initiated Program (SIP) and
student-run organization that strives to recruit underrepresented Black
students to universities like Cal and to retain Black students by providing
them with resources, support, and community.


During the first half of the event on 4/27/19, students will engage in
different workshops and activities.  We will be joined in the afternoon by
undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff members, and other
community members to enjoy a fun-filled carnival-theme festivity.  Again,
through this large scale event, we hope to celebrate the Black joy and
Black empowerment in higher education.
