Hey Yellowjackets!
·         March is National Athletic Training month!
Shout out to BHS Athletic Trainer Lauren Small!
Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide emergency care and prevent, diagnose and treat injuries and medical conditions for people in work, life and play including athletes, industrial workers, military service members and public servants.
Berkeley High Athletics is fortunate to partner with UCSF Benioff and Athletic Trainer Lauren Small can be seen on the sidelines at games working closely with athletes and coaches as well as in the training room clinic helping student athletes work through injuries and rehab.
Lauren took a sports medicine class in High School and then started working in her school's training room. WIth a crew of student interns now she may be starting others on the same path!
THANKS TO LAUREN for caring for so many BHS student athletes and coaches!
·         CHEER TRYOUTS FOR 2019-2020 will take place starting April 22, 2019. Registration on Family ID open NOW through April 15. Email athleticdirector at berkeley.net with questions
·         Berkeley Athletic Fund will be holding a special meeting on Monday March 18th 7:00p.m. (BHS Library) with Jennifer "JT" Thomas presenting on Student Athletes and the College Selection process. This presentation always proves to be well attended and very informative! If you have an interest in Athletics on the College level you don't want to miss this one!
