student’s Guidance Counselor if you have any questions.

Dear Families of Current 10th & 11th Graders at Berkeley High School:

Guidance Counselors will be meeting with all current 10th & 11th grade
students starting Tuesday, February 26th until March 15th in order to make
course requests for the 2019-20 school year. Additionally, students will
have the opportunity to enter the Small Learning Communities (SLCs) Lottery
if they wish to move out of their current SLC for the following school
year. Students must enter the lottery while meeting with their Guidance
Counselor in order to have an opportunity to move SLCs. SLC moves are based
on space availability and are not guaranteed.

Families will be mailed a copy of their student’s course requests and a
report if the student entered the SLC Lottery in early-April, have an
opportunity to make changes, and submit those changes to the BHS Counseling
Office by no later than Friday, April 12th.

Hard copies of the BHS Course Catalog 2019-20 will be available for all
current 10th and 11th grade students ahead of their course requests meeting
with their Guidance Counselor. Additionally, an electronic version of
the catalog
is now available on the BHS website.
