Interested in working with your hands and project based learning? Come to the Carpentry Shop in G112 at lunch on Thursday, February 28th for an information session. Learn about our new Carpentry and Digital Design classes and check out some current student work.

Throughout the course of the year, students in the carpentry program will be engaged in a variety of individual and group projects, exercises and readings to build up their skills in construction, design and critical problem solving. This will include traditional methods of building with hand tools as well as cutting edge digital fabrication and modeling tools. Students will also be exposed to the range of career opportunities across the fields of fabrication, design and construction. Emphasis will be on hands-on projects that have constraints to guide their design but allow for individual creativity.
