*Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Lunch: Seniors and Juniors: Mills College*


Aisha Gonzalez, Assistant Director of Admissions, will be in the CCC on
Tuesday, 2/5/19 at lunch to talk to admitted seniors about a $7,000 merit
scholarship, information about Mills Promise Scholarship, and Preview and
Admission Day on 2/9/19.

Education Award*


 Find out about the $2,500 renewable scholarship called Shelley Bergum
Higher Award for those with IEP, 504 plan or disability.  Meet Laura Choe,
Grants and Scholarship Manager of the East Bay Community Fund, to talk
about the award and application.  *Due 3/22/19.*

College Expo Assembly in Little Theater*


Juniors and Seniors only:  Find out about Historically Black College and
Universities (HBCUs) and get a preview of the Black College Expo at the

*Saturday, February 9, 2019: All Grades: Black College Expo Assembly at
Oakland Oracle 9:00 AM-3:00 PM for Expo and 3:00-5:00 PM for After Show*


There will be an array of colleges to choose from including public,
private, independent, military, ivy league, and community colleges.
Students can learn about the history and legacy of historically black
colleges and universities.


The Black College Expo will be filled with exciting opportunities and
resources for students.

   - Job & Career Center,
   - Beauty, Health & Wellness
   - Fitness Pavilion
   - Students Think STEAM Zone


There are fantastic seminars too! “How to find Money for College”, “Booming
Careers”, "Why Attend an HBCU" “The 411 for the Student-Athlete”, and “Real
Talk College vs. High School”.
