Morning Announcements / Student Daily Bulletin Reminders and Updates:


1. Morning Announcements are delivered via our public address system (PA) on a daily basis.

2. Expect to receive the Student Daily Bulletin at least (3) times per week to your school email; the frequency of the Student Daily Bulletin is dependent upon the number of announcements for the week.


What are morning announcements?:

In the great tradition of BHS, we have second period announcements that are read by leadership students.

Elected to the position this year (18-19) are Oscar Ashley and Solomon Chang.


Your announcement must meet ONE of the following requirements for it to be read over the school public address system (PA).

1. It must be relevant to roughly 100 or more students or staff members.

2. It must be substantive in nature: A message promotes constructive behavior or sense of community.

Specify the first date for the announcement.

Specify the last date for the announcement.


How to submit an announcement?

Please submit announcement to this email bhsmorningannouncements at berkeley.net

by 3:00 PM and the announcement will be read the following morning during 2nd period.


When?:

Announcements submitted by 3:00 PM the day before will be shared on the school public address system (PA) on the following day during 2nd period on Mondays at 11:00 AM and at 9:45 AM Tuesday-Friday.



Carrie the Musical auditions!

If you like to sing, act, or dance, then come out and audition for our spring musical (rehearsals begin in February and end mid April)  auditions will be Friday, November 30th after school, sign up on the A building bulletin board, slots are filling up fast! To audition just prepare a one minute cut of a musical theater song and we recommend bringing a one minute monologue. Hope to see you all there!! No prior experience required!!


SAT BOOK DONATIONS/DRIVE:

SAT textbooks can be very expensive and a lot of students at BHS do not have the financial means to purchase them. If you have any old SAT textbooks PLEASE BRING them to Mr Kaku's Room (C133) anytime between now and November 28!

Students will be able to receive SAT BOOKS during the Culture Fair on NOV 29!


********Please pass this information on to anyone who has already taken the SATs, consider asking your teacher to write in on the board or even personally give an announcement in class!(Everything helps!)
