Dear Incoming 9th Grade Families,

The Berkeley High School Incoming 9th Grade Fall Information Night will be held Wednesday, November 14, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm in the galleries of the Berkeley Community Theater, with information tables featuring student clubs, athletic teams, and activities.

A presentation about 9th grade at Berkeley High School will begin promptly at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Berkeley Community Theater. The presentation will focus on the structure of the Universal 9th grade as well as course options and enrollment process. This an essential step in the process of signing up for classes at BHS. Frequently Asked Questions and course enrollment overview information sheets for the 2019-2020 school year will be provided on this night. Students (accompanied by an adult) are welcome to attend. Spanish, Arabic and Mandarin translation will be available.

Our Course Catalog for 2019-2020 will be available in the spring. Here is a link to our current<https://tinyurl.com/ybeyppfw> course catalog<https://tinyurl.com/ybeyppfw> which will provide a glance at the elective offerings for next year. If any changes are made it will be reflected in the course catalog that will be delivered to BUSD middle schools in the spring. Students new to BUSD will be able to access the course catalog via the web and hard copies will be available in the front office in the spring.

Food trucks will be on campus from 5:30-7:00 pm. Families can purchase food in the courtyard in front of the theater.

This will be the only large information night at Berkeley High School for this school year. In early spring, Berkeley High staff will still come to present at BUSD middle schools and host smaller info nights for incoming families whose students are not currently in BUSD, and we look forward to seeing you in November!

Thank you,

Tonia Coleman

Vice Principal
