For all grades: College Information Day: Free event at UC Berkeley on 10/20/18 @ 8:30-1:00


WHAT: College Information Day, a free, annual event at the University of California, Berkeley, in which college and university representatives will give college preparation tips to over 1,000 middle school and high school students and their families.


More than 50 public and private colleges and universities will be represented, including those within the UC system, California State University, independent colleges, out of state institutions and community colleges.


Workshops on admission requirements, financial aid and scholarships for documented and undocumented students, completing the UC and CSU applications, writing the personal insight questions for UC, transferring opportunities to four year colleges and universities, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and more. Some workshops will be conducted in English and Spanish.


A panel of college students will share their own experience with college admissions and day-to-day experiences at school to give students a glimpse of college life.  Visitor Services will offer guided campus tours.


A Cash for College workshop will be offered to high school students and their parents to help them fill out the FAFSA or Dream App.  This workshop will take place from 9:30 am -1:00  pm in 105 Dwinelle Hall. WHEN: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018
