50th Anniversary: African American Studies Department Celebrations
Did you know this is the 50th Anniversary year of Black Studies at Berkeley High School? This year the African American Studies Department is hosting a series of celebrations to honor this historic accomplishment.
If you rap, sing, or burst poems and love to teach, learn and make black history, come to E200 (AKA Mama Washington Dance Studio) next Wednesday 9/19 at 4 pm, to learn how you can be a part of this celebration and be a part of Young, Gifted, and Black.

Seniors only ~ College Visits and Letters of Recommendation
Senior Profile
Letters of Recommendation are due today (Friday, September 14th) in Profile (Naviance), which can be found under Tasks in My Planner. Remember to give your recommend-er a thank you.

College Visits
You may visit with college admissions directors and counselors in the CCC to learn more about programs and applications. Please get approval from your teachers first so you do not miss important assignments, projects, tests, or quizzes. You are responsible for missed work.

Tonight's Game
Come out for Friday Night Lights at Jacket Stadium tonight to watch the Yellowjacket Football team take on the Vanden Vikings. The JV game starts at 5:00 pm and the Varsity at 7:30 pm.
