PLEASE do not reply to this email reply to Joanna Ward at bhsailing at wards.us

Are you interested in sailing? Berkeley High has a sailing team that sails out of the Richmond Yacht Club. They travel up and down the California coast, competing against over thirty other schools in the Pacific Coast Interscholastic Sailing Association (PCISA). They race in FJs, two person dinghies. They practice a couple times a week, meaning you can get a PE waiver for sailing.

No experience is necessary to join the team. The season runs from the middle of September to the end of April. Richmond Yacht Club provides all boats and coaching, and carpools transport sailors to and from practice. For those interested, an informational meeting will be held at Richmond Yacht Club on September 14th at 6:00 pm. For more information, please email Joanna Ward at bhsailing at wards.us or visit the Richmond Yacht Club website, http://www.richmondyc.org/page/13823~792690/High-School-Sailing-20182019 .
