*Morning Sports Report*

After placing third at the USRowing Southwest Youth Championships, the BHS
Men’s Crew quadruple sculls team will compete in this weekend’s Youth
National Championships

*Mandatory Senior Meeting*

Hello Seniors!!! There is ​a mandatory meeting for the Class of 2018 on
Tuesday, June 12 at 1:00pm in the Community Theater. This is when we will
further discuss important information related to graduation and beyond. And
don’t forget to pick up your two free graduation tickets at the A Gate box
office before school or during lunch. Make sure you have cleared all debts,
completed the Senior Exit Survey in Naviance
<https://student.naviance.com/berkeleyhigh>, and bring your BHS student ID
card with you to the box office.



*Job Opportunities*

Mr. Dopman, our Career Advisor, continues to send Email messages to
students about summer job opportunities. For example, this week he has
shared postings for a gardener, a community organizer, and a clerical
assistant. Check your Berkeley.net student Email account for more
information.



*Upcoming Arts Events*

This week, the BHS Jazz program <http://www.bhsjazz.org/> presents its
final concerts of the year. On Thursday, June 7 at 7:00 pm in the Little
Theater, the 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 Bands will perform. On Friday, June 8 at
7:00 pm the Jazz Ensemble will perform. Admission is $10, but admission for
BUSD staff is free.



Also on June 7, come celebrate the next generation of environmental
artists!! From 5:30-8:30pm, The David Brower Center
<https://browercenter.org/> will host a reception for 80 BHS students whose
work is featured in their upcoming art exhibition, Art/Act: Youth. The
reception will feature a Native American blessing, a performance by Youth
Speaks, a DJ, 100 artworks, and tasty food.
