BHS & BTA Graduation 2018 Ticket Information

William Randolph Hearst Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley



TWO FREE TICKETS:  All graduating students from BHS and BTA are eligible to receive two free tickets, in the bowl area, for the graduation ceremony (a $44 value). BHS students can pick up their two free tickets starting Tuesday, June 5 through Monday, June 11 at the BHS Box Office, which is near the A Gate on Allston Way. The Box Office will be open before school (8:00am-8:30am) and at lunch (11:40am-12:10pm). Before students can pick up their free tickets, they must:

-Complete the 2018 Graduation Survey, available online at student.naviance.com/berkeleyhigh<https://student.naviance.com/berkeleyhigh> (Username: student email; Password: Berkeley + student id)

-Clear any book, materials or athletic fines with Mr. Waterman in the Registrar’s Office (cash, check and credit cards are accepted for payment).


NOTE: Students must show their BHS ID card in order to receive the two free tickets (no exceptions). Replacement ID cards are available in the Counseling Center for $10. Parents cannot pick up free tickets for their students.


ADDITIONAL TICKETS: Tickets are expected to go on sale Friday, June 1, at 12:00pm, and will be on sale until and during Graduation as long as they last. Tickets will be sold by the Ticket Office at Zellerbach Hall:


·       online at http://tickets.berkeley.edu/

·       by phone at 510-642-9988

·       in person (located at the northeast corner of Zellerbach Hall; enter the UC Berkeley campus at Bancroft and Telegraph)

·       Box office and phone hours are Tuesday-Friday, 12 p.m.-5:30 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. CLOSED MONDAY!

Bowl Seats Regular Price: $22  |  Bowl Seats Reduced Price: $15  |  All Lawn Seats: $10

Every person attending, regardless of age, must have a ticket for entrance.


During the first week of sales, there is a limit of TWO BOWL TICKETS and/or FOUR LAWN TICKETS per student, person, family, household, or credit card.



REDUCED PRICE TICKETS: Students who receive free or reduced-price meals at school are eligible for discounted tickets. To receive discounted tickets, eligible students must go to the Counseling Center (room D-141) to receive a verification form. The forms will be available starting on Thursday, May 31. Discounted tickets are only available at the Zellerbach Hall box office; they cannot be purchased online or via phone. The verification form must be presented at the time of purchase to receive the discounted price. There is a limit of four tickets/student at the discounted price, and all tickets must be purchased at the same time.


TICKETS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: The Greek Theatre is wheelchair accessible, and there are seats reserved for guests with mobility disabilities. Seating that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is available upon request at the time of ticket purchase. Guests purchasing an accessible seat may purchase one additional ticket for a companion in the same area.


SEATING:  All seats are first come/first served. There are no reserved seats. The doors to the Greek Theatre are scheduled to open up by 4:30 pm for ADA-accessible seating first, and then for general seating.


PARKING: There is limited public parking near the Greek Theatre, and there are no designated parking areas for students, families or guests. There is a curbside drop-off area on Gayley Road just north of the Greek Theatre entrance for passengers with disabilities. The Stadium Parking Garage<https://en.parkopedia.com/parking/garage/the_stadium_parking_structure/94720/berkeley/?arriving=201805300900&leaving=201805301100> is the largest public parking facility near the Greek Theatre, and there are some University-owned parking lots with spaces available. Please allow ample time to find parking.


As a convenience to guests who choose to park closer to the BHS campus, there will be several shuttle buses running between BHS and the Greek Theatre. Shuttles are scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm, and will pick up passengers at the corner of Milvia and Kittredge<https://www.google.com/maps/place/Milvia+St+%26+Kittredge+St,+Berkeley,+CA+94704/@37.8692786,-122.2643941,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x80857e9c7b554e3b:0x110243f3e0df219d!8m2!3d37.8681606!4d-122.270354>. The last shuttle from the Greek Theatre to BHS leaves between 8:30-9:00pm. It is also possible to walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART station up to Greek Theatre; the walk to the Greek Theatre is uphill and takes about 20 minutes.


SCHEDULE: The ceremony begins at 5:30 pm and will end around 8:00 pm.
