Morning Sports Report

Earlier this week, the JV Softball won 8-7 against Alameda, with Victoria Carton making the game winning steal to home. Today’s sports schedule is very full.

The swim team travels to Encinal for a meet

The boys lacrosse teams host Bishop O’Dowd at Jacket Stadium

The girls lacrosse teams visit Bishop O’Dowd for their games

The varsity softball team plays Arroyo at home and the JV softball team plays Arroyo on the road

The varsity baseball team plays Bishop O'Dowd in Oakland, and the JV baseball team plays Bishop O'Dowd at Moellering Field


Sexual Assault Awareness Month Activities

>From the BHS Health Center: April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Stand up for survivors of sexual assault and commit to a creating a safe environment for all students. Pin a teal ribbon on your shirt or backpack to show that you are an ally in the fight against Sexual Assault. Get your teal ribbon from a member of SHIFT (Sexual Health Information for Teens) at their table after school today on the Campus Green, or at the Health Center in room H-105.


Hispanic Engineering Society

UC Berkeley’s Hispanic Engineering Society is having a club meeting today for Juniors. Are you interested??? See Mr Byndloss briefly at 10:30am at his office (room D-140).


Band and Orchestra

Everyone is invited to hear the BHS Band & Orchestra in concert tonight in the Community Theater. The concert is absolutely free and begins at 7:00 pm.


Transcript Review Clinic

Did you know that High School Graduation requirements are different than 4 Year college requirements? Do you want hands-on review of your middle & high school transcript? Are you really sure you are taking the classes that will count for college  acceptance? This Saturday, BUSD is sponsoring a transcript review and college readiness clinic at Berkeley Youth Alternatives, or BYA (1255 Allston Way). The event is from 9:00 until noon, and you can RSVP by sending a message to ofee at berkeley.net.


Prom 2018

Today is the final day for juniors and seniors to purchase tickets for Prom 2018, which is tomorrow night at the San Francisco Design Center. Tickets are $80 each ($70 each for students enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program), and juniors and seniors can purchase tickets with cash or check in the Leadership Office during lunch and after school, or you can buy tickets online (for a small service charge) at bhsprom2018.bpt.me. Students with more than 30 unverified period absences are not eligible to attend prom, and guest passes are no longer available.
