Morning Sports Report

Yesterday the varsity and JV baseball teams lost to Bishop O’Dowd, and the varsity softball team was defeated by Alameda. Today there are several home games, including: badminton, boys tennis, and volleyball.


An update from the boys golf team: last week the team played in a Tri Match against San Leandro and Arroyo. BHS beat Arroyo but fell short to San Leandro. Following yesterday’s loss to Castro Valley, the team has one final regular season match next week against Piedmont. The league championships are on Monday, April 30.


Opening Reception for BHS Interdisciplinary Art Exhibition is Tonight

The annual BHS Arts-Based Research Exhibition, 2018! Reception, TONIGHT from 5:00-8:30. The exhibition features 63 artists, 200 artworks, free food and fun times! Come see the wall-climbing man, the 15-foot Dragon and the fashion show! That’s tonight in the BHS Community Theater Galleries!


BHS College Fair

For All Grades: The College Fair will be held in the Jacket Gym on Sunday, April 29, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. College representatives from about 50 colleges, universities, and community colleges will be available to answer your questions and provide informational material. BHS Student ID Required!


Transcript Review Clinic

Did you know that High School Graduation requirements are different than 4 Year college requirements? Do you want hands-on review of your middle & high school transcript? Are you really sure you are taking the classes that will count for college  acceptance? This Saturday, BUSD is sponsoring a transcript review and college readiness clinic at Berkeley Youth Alternatives, or BYA (1255 Allston Way). The event is from 9:00 until noon, and you can RSVP by sending a message to ofee at berkeley.net<mailto:ofee at berkeley.net>.


Positive Shout Outs

Tomorrow is Friday, which means it’s time for Positive Shout Outs. Be on the lookout for a message later today from Principal Schweng that will include a link to recognize individuals or groups on campus that are contributing to a positive school culture.
