Morning Sports Report
There is a lot going on in the world of Jacket sports; here is a recap.

Berkeley High's first all-girls Ultimate Frisbee team, Hysteria<http://www.berkeleyhighjacket.com/excitement-surrounds-new-womens-ultimate-team/>, came in first place in the 2018 HighSchool Girls State Championship<https://bayareadisc.org/e/2018-hs-girls-state-championship/teams> held at El Cerrito High on Sunday. Some of the Berkeley High girls were also selected to play in the Rising Stars Showcase game after the tournament, which was comprised of the best young female players in the Bay Area. Congratulations to the Hysteria team!

At Friday's swim meet against San Leandro High School, three of our four teams were victorious: the JV girls won 113-56, the varsity girls won 103-66, and the varsity boys won 93-75.

The boys' tennis team<http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/berkeley-yellowjackets-(berkeley,ca)/tennis/home.htm> lost 2-5 to Alameda High School, and won 6-1 against Castro Valley and Arroyo High School last week. The boys' tennis team will celebrate their SENIORS (Fintan, Tyler and Cam) and play against Piedmont High School at Berkeley Tennis Club tomorrow at 4pm and against Encinal High School at the Channing Courts on Thursday at 4pm. Shout out to Coaches Jeff Jue and Ray Yep who are themselves SENIOR coaches, currently in their 4th year with the Jackets.

In other sports action, the boys varsity lacrosse team<http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/berkeley-yellowjackets-(berkeley,ca)/lacrosse/home.htm> lost to Casa Grande; the girls varsity lacrosse team<http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/berkeley-yellowjackets-(berkeley,ca)/girls-lacrosse/home.htm> beat Newark Memorial; the varsity softball team<http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/berkeley-yellowjackets-(berkeley,ca)/softball/home.htm> fell to Castro Valley but defeated St. Mary's; the varsity baseball team<http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/berkeley-yellowjackets-(berkeley,ca)/baseball/home.htm> blanked San Leandro, and the freshman baseball team<http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/berkeley-yellowjackets-(berkeley,ca)/freshman-baseball/home.htm> triumphed over rival Bishop O'Dowd.
