Morning Sports Report
The boys varsity lacrosse team is on a two-game winning streak following victories against College Park and Terra Linda. The boys JV lacrosse team also beat College Park to secure its first victory of the season. Both teams travel to Walnut Creek tomorrow to play Northgate.
The varsity baseball team continues to roll over its opponents with three wins over Spring Break. They will play three games this week, including an away game tomorrow at San Lorenzo. The freshman baseball team went 2-1 over Spring Break, and will play Benicia High in a doubleheader on Saturday.
Email Passwords and Security
Students: This is a friendly reminder that you should change your berkeley.net<http://berkeley.net/> Gmail passwords from the default setting. We have already had several students have their e-mail addresses accessed without their permission due to this issue. Changing your Gmail password frequently is also a good practice for keeping your account safe. To change your password, follow the steps listed in the Email message sent by Mr. Clegg on March 27.
2018-2019 Course Requests and Requests to Change Learning Communities
Academic Counselors will be available in the Counseling Office this week to meet with students who would like to make changes to their course selections for the 2018-19 school year. You can also submit a request to change learning communities (also known as small schools), for next year. The deadline to submit changes to courses or learning communities is Friday, April 13.
Black Scholars Celebration
On Thursday evening, April 12, the BHS African American Studies Department is hosting a program to recognize more than 250 Black students who earned a Semester 1 GPA or 3.0 or higher. The reception begins at 6:00 in the West Gallery, and the program begins at 6:45 in the Little Theater.
Saturday School
The next Saturday School will be held on Saturday, April 14, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00p.m. in room M301. Attending this Saturday School will clear up to 3 unverified period absences from March. Students who wish to attend Saturday School must sign up in the Attendance Office before school, during lunch or after school. We can only take up to 30 students per Saturday School.
This is the last Saturday School to make up absences before prom.
Prom 2018
Prom 2018 is less than two weeks away! Mystery and excitement await you on Saturday, April 21, from 8:00 pm until 11:30 pm, as the San Francisco Galleria will be transformed into the ultimate Masquerade experience. Tickets are $80 each ($70 each for students enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program) and you can purchase them with cash or check in the Leadership Office during lunch and after school, or you can buy tickets online (for a small service charge) at bhsprom2018.bpt.me<http://bhsprom2018.bpt.me/>.
