*Morning Sports Report*

On the court this week, the Boys Varsity Tennis Team beat San Leandro 7-0,
and traveled to Hayward to win 7-0.

At yesterday’s track and field scrimmage against Alameda and Skyline, some
highlights include: Nikolas Diamant winning the men’s 110 meter hurdles and
the triple jump; BHS placing second in the men’s 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 meter
relays; Islaam Rashada winning the women’s 100 meters and 200 meters;
Patience Sykes winning the women’s 400 meters, and Delaney Whitaker winning
the women’s 3200 meter race.

Today the badminton team will host Alameda High in the Jacket Gym, and the
swimming team travels to Castro Valley.

* Saturday School*

The next Saturday School will be held this Saturday from 9:00 am until
12:00 pm in room M-301. Attending this Saturday School will clear up to 3
unverified period absences from February. Students who wish to attend
Saturday School must sign up in the Attendance Office before school, during
lunch or after school. We can only take up to 30 students per Saturday School
session.

*Prom 2018*

Masquerade Prom Tickets are on sale in the Leadership Office at lunch and
after school. Students enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program can
purchase tickets at $70 per person for the duration of sales with proof of
eligibility at the time of purchase. Ticket prices for all other students
this week are $75 per person, and you can pay in cash or with a check
payable to BHS ASB.

Remember: you cannot attend prom if you have more than 30 unverified period
absences for this school year, so check your attendance before purchasing
your ticket. You can still continue to purchase prom tickets online at
bhsprom2018.bpt.me. The ticket price will increase to $80 after *tomorrow*,
so buy your tickets now to avoid the price increase.

*Positive Shout Outs*

Positive shout outs will happen tomorrow. Be sure to check your email later
today for a message from Principal Schweng that will include a link you can
use to recognize an individual or a group on campus whose actions reflect
the great things that are happening to build a positive school culture here
at Berkeley High.
