Hello Everyone,



We are looking for volunteers to help this Wednesday, March 14 from 9:30 -
11:40 with the students who will be participating in the nationwide action
<https://www.actionnetwork.org/event_campaigns/enough-national-school-walkout>
in
support of gun control laws and in honor of the victims of Parkland,
Florida.



*Our goal is to have 20 parents* here to be extra eyes and ears, as
students move from the courtyard to the field, and then during the event.



After morning announcements (approx 9:45), many/most students will likely
head to the courtyard to be prepared for the 10:00 start time for the
event.  Student leaders there will be speaking in honor of the 17 victims
in Florida.  After some time of speaking, students will be invited to move
to the field, where a "spell-out" of a peace sign will take place, along
with more speaking.  Parents who are interested in helping out with the
preparation of the peace sign outline on the field may be asked to be here
earlier that morning.



Then, depending on time, students will dismiss to 3rd period or lunch and
return for afternoon classes.  Rain is predicted for this day, so we will
have to see how that affects the plans.  We would appreciate your
support, *please
let me know if you can help out*.



*In addition, *students welcome donations of poster boards, pens and any
other supplies which they can use for signs to make before Wednesday
morning's event.  Please bring any donations to the BHS front desk.
