International Women's Day - March 8 - Events on Campus
Tomorrow is International Women's Day, and a group of students and staff want to let you know about some collectively planned actions here at BHS:

  * The Women's Student Union will sponsor bake sale on the senior steps at lunch (all proceeds go to organizations supporting women including BAWAR and Planned Parenthood)
  * BHS Stop Harassing: Students are selling/making t-shirts today at lunch, and wearing #bhsstopharassing T-shirts tomorrow (at Civic Center Park)
  * "Women's Fight for Equality" historical timeline in the C-Gallery, and posters in the G/H breezeways (1st and 2nd floor) from Ms. Godner's history students
We will share more events with you tomorrow.

College & Career Week
This year, our annual focus on college and careers will take place the week of March 12th. For those new to the event, College and Career Week is a joint effort by the city of Berkeley, Berkeley City College and BUSD to get students to consider their education and career options. One of the ways this is accomplished is by inviting to BHS compelling speakers in a variety of industries. This year we are focusing on careers in the following sectors: Health Sciences / Biotech; Building Trades & Construction; Engineering & Design; Information & Communication Technology (ICT); Medicine / Public Health; Arts, Media, & Entertainment; Emergency Public Services, and Law Enforcement / Criminal Law.

Berkeley City College Information Session
SENIORS: Today a representative from Berkeley City College will be in the CCC presenting about BCC and the Community College process, during 3rd, 5th, and 6th period. Choose a period and get permission from your teacher to attend!
