Seniors - Change in Due Date: Lewis Howard Latimer Scholarship Extended to March 19, 2018


  *   Lewis Howard Latimer Scholarship from the NETwork Bay Area Chapter Black Integrated Communication Professionals: Due March 19, 2018
  *   For African American high school seniors living in the greater San Francisco Bay Area in recognition of academic and civic achievement during high school years. The scholarship is named in the honor of Lewis Howard Latimer, who was an African American inventor and draftsman. His blueprints were used as the basis for a court decision for patents to Alexander Graham Bell for the telephone. One-year non-renewable award ranging up to $2,000. Multiple scholarships will be awarded. The application deadline is Monday March 19, 2018
  *   Eligibility:

  1.  Academic good standing (GPA minimum 2.5)
  2.  African American senior, full-time status in an accredited high school
  3.  Declared intention to enroll in:

·         Four-year accredited college

·         Two-year community college

·         Accredited business school (for business school, major must be in Computer Science or related to the Telecommunications industry)
