Spring Sports Tryouts

All student athletes who are approved to participate in spring sports are listed in the Berkeley High School website, Athletics tab, and all tryout information is listed there as well. Tryouts begin today. These two links are live and if they are updated new information will show.


Auditions for Dance Production 2019

Sophomores and Juniors: Interested in being a part of Dance Production next year? There will be workshops at lunch and after school starting this Wednesday, February 7, and continuing through February 14. The date for the DP 2019 audition is Wednesday, February 14, at 4:00 pm. Please see Ms. Carr in the A Building if you have any questions.


Auditions for BHS Talent Show

Berkeley High, what’s your talent? Audition for the 2018 Talent Show with your song, dance comedy, band, rap, spoken word, juggling routine or other creative expression. Sign up outside the Leadership Office for an audition slot at lunch or after school between February 13 and 23.


College & Career Center Announcements

Seniors:  The  FAFSA and Dream Act Applications are due March 2! Come to the Library Computer Lab after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays!  College Advisors will be available to help you with your FAFSA, Dream Act, Scholarship applications, and CSS profiles. Also, PLEASE Check your college portals to see if you are missing any documents.  Refer to your student emails or visit the CCC for more information.



All grade levels:  Interested in HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities)?  There will be a Black College Expo at the Oakland Marriott City Center on Saturday, February 17th.  On Tuesday, February 13th there will be a pre-expo info assembly in the BHS Little Theater during 3rd period.  You need permission from your 3rd period teacher to attend.  Please check your emails or visit the CCC for more information.


All grade levels:  Do you need help applying for summer programs, or writing scholarship application or college essays?  The CCC will have a reader on hand on Thursdays after school, and Fridays at lunch.  Please visit the CCC to take advantage of this great resource!


Spring 2018 Open House

Berkeley High School’s Open House is this Thursday, Feb. 8th, at 7:00 pm. During Open House, parents and guardians follow their student’s schedule as they meet teachers for mid-year class updates. Teachers will showcase recent student work, preview topics that will be covered this semester, and talk about upcoming field trips. We especially encourage you to tell your parents and guardians to attend Open House if you have a new teacher or you are taking a new class for the Spring semester. We look forward to seeing your families on campus this Thursday night!
