Juniors, Class of 2019,
Come to a meeting to learn about a program called Students Rising Above
that helps students apply to college and supports students throughout the 4
years of college.
*What:* *Meet Isabella Flores, Advisor, from Students Rising Above
Scholarship (SRA) for Juniors*
Mission statement of Students Rising Above:
SRA invests in low-income, first generation college students who have
demonstrated a deep commitment to education and strength of character while
overcoming tremendous odds of poverty, homelessness, and neglect.
*When:* *Wednesday January 31, 2018 at lunch period, 11:38-12:18*
Bring your lunch right after 3rd period.
*Where:* *College & Career Center (CCC), D-221, across from the library*
*How: Check for eligibility to apply:*
· Juniors graduating in the Class of 2019
· 3.0 minimum GPA (we *can* make exceptions for exceptional students with
2.8/2.9 GPAs)
· 4-year college bound
· Come from low-income family
· Overcome obstacles
