year is Wednesday,
February 28. If you need an application come by room M-104 (Ms.
Ferrer-Castro's room) to get one.

*New Support Group for Juniors & Seniors*

Juniors and Seniors: Are you freaking out about SATs? Flipping out about
your future? Falling behind? Do you struggle with organization? Do you want
practical solutions instead of “just talking about it”? Sign up at the
Health Center (room H-105) today for a new support group that will start
meeting in February. Space is limited, so sign up today.

*Get (More) Involved at Berkeley High During Spring 2018*

Final Exams are quickly approaching! Yet, you may be asking yourself about
what lies beyond those testing dates and wondering what you could do
differently in the spring semester. Volunteer more? Play a sport? Find a
job, join leadership or a club? Or maybe you want to focus more on your
academics? Whatever it is, develop a few goals (SMART goals rule!) and get
involved in Berkeley High!

Your active involvement is what makes Berkeley High such a special place.

· *BHS Athletics* - If interested in spring sports, you need to submit
your Athletic Packet online by January 31!

· *BHS Clubs* - Although the deadline to *start* a new club this
school year has passed, you can still *join* one of the over 80+ student
clubs. The Spring Club Fair will take place on February 8.

· *Join ASB Leadership*. Applications for elected positions due February
15. Info and application are available on the BHS Leadership website:
berkeleyschools.net/leadership

· *Summer Opportunities Fair & Career Resources*: On April 25, BHS
will host a Summer Opportunities Fair where you may be able to find a
summer volunteer/paid position. Visit the BHS Career page for more info on
this event and other great resources.

· *College Resources* - Why wait? Head to the CCC for an amazing array
of resources and support!

· *Tutoring in the CCC and in teachers’ classrooms* after school Monday
through Thursday as well as around campus. Mr. Laurel will post the new
tutoring sheet in February. Talk to your teacher about currently available
FREE tutoring options.

· Attend an upcoming *BUSD School Board Meeting* (tonight or February 7),
or a School Site Council meeting here on campus to see how school policy is
adopted and managed

Get involved today to see positive change tomorrow!

*No School on Monday, January 29*

There is no school for students on Monday, January 29 because it is
Semester Break.

*Positive Shout Outs*

Since there will be no morning announcements for the rest of this week,
Positive Shout Outs will return on Friday, February 3.
