Attention Seniors: The YMCA PG&E Teen Center<https://ymcacba.org/index.php/locations/teen-center> is sponsoring a Scholarship Expo on Saturday, January 20, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Teen Center, which is on the corner of Martin Luther King and Center Street. The event is free and open to the public. The purpose of the event is to provide underrepresented Bay Area high school students with the opportunity to learn about upcoming scholarships and summer programs as well as network with representatives from these organizations and institutions. No RSVP is required.

Special Bell Schedule This Thursday
On Thursday, January 11th, all 2nd period teachers will give the semi-annual BHS Student Survey in lieu of the announcements. The bell schedule will be adjusted so that all classes will be 6 minutes shorter on that day, and lunch will begin later than usual. The data collected through this survey will help us better understand and measure our students' evolving experience in our classrooms and on our campus. The special bell schedule<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Kaddaz3M92JZGFdaEgV5tIfHl0hr5sNq/view?usp=sharing> has been distributed to all students and staff, and will be posted around campus as a reminder.

Yearbook Update
The Berkeley High Yearbook Staff would like to inform you of an opportunity to purchase advertising space in our 2017-2018 yearbook. There are a number of things that can be done with the available spreads; in previous years, many families have created spotlights for their seniors, pages of positive affirmation, or designed spreads filled with inspirational and motivational words.

The ad spaces vary in price, according to the chosen size, ranging from $60 for an eighth of a page in black-and-white to $180 for an entire page in full-color. If you are interested, please visit www.yearbookordercenter.com<http://www.yearbookordercenter.com> and enter the code number 16356 to be directed to the Berkeley High ordering page. Next, click "Buy a Yearbook Ad".

If you would like to consult a member of the yearbook staff for contribution or feedback regarding your design, members of the yearbook staff are available to meet with you after school. Additionally, our representatives are available for clarification purposes as needed.

P.S. Yearbook prices have increased to $75. Last year, we sold out. Don't delay, buy your yearbook today!
