*BHS UpROAR - 2017 California Mixed Ultimate Champs!*

This past Fall the Berkeley High ultimate club fielded its first ever Mixed
(Coed) team, “UpROAR”.

Mixed ultimate features an even split of male and female players on every
point, and actively promotes gender equity in this fast-paced, competitive
field sport.

UpROAR represented BHS with passion, depth and skill in the inaugural
season of mixed high school ultimate in California, on their way to an
undefeated 11-0 league record.

They capped the Fall season with an undefeated run through the California
High School Mixed State Championship tournament over the Winter break,
taking home both the championship trophy and the spirit award for their
outstanding sportsmanship.

Congratulations to BHS UpROAR, 2017 California State champs!
