You are invited to a one-of-a-kind concert this Friday, November 17th at Berkeley High School.
The award-winning BHS Jazz Ensemble + BHS Chamber Orchestra playing jazz for studio orchestra! Music of Artie Shaw, Charlie Parker, Clare Fischer, Dave Samuels and Chris Walden. Spanning 8 decades and 5 different genres, this concert is going to hit on all cylinders. We hope to see you there!
Florence Schwimley Little Theatre, Berkeley High
Allston Way @ MLK
7 p.m. Friday, November 17th
FREE to everyone 18 and under, FREE to all BUSD staff, $10 for other adults.
After the opening set with strings, we'll also hear from BHS Jazz' Combo A, and a long set of big band music from the Jazz Ensemble by itself (including the music of Duke Ellington, Tadd Dameron, Dizzy Gillespie, Wycliffe Gordon, Joe Henderson, Oliver Nelson, and many others).
This year's Jazz Ensemble is second to none, and you'll want to be in the room where it happens. Come hear the next generation of jazz stars from Berkeley High!
