Introducing the BHS Chorus
In 1958, BHS had a student body of about 1000, and an a cappella choir featuring 70 students. Today we have a student body bordering on 3000 and an a cappella choir of ZERO. And ZERO chorus classes. All that changes now.
 
Come to room A-203 every Wednesday and Friday during 7th period, and reignite this gleeful tradition! We'll be singing everything from the Temptations to Taylor Swift, and it's gonna be 100% pure adrenaline and excitement. BE A PART OF HISTORY! No Pitch Perfect training required.
 
Morning Sports Report
Today, October 31 is the LAST day to complete a Family ID registration to tryout for Winter sports.  Please check the Berkeley High website, Athletics tab. Tryouts for all winter sports begin Monday, November 6. If you have questions about your Family ID registration and want to check it, or if you were a Fall athlete and want to add a winter sport to your registration, you may go to the Athletic Director's office after school 3:45-5:00, J207, today only.
 
Tonight the 13th seed Jacket girls varsity volleyball team takes on 4th seed Foothill High School in Pleasanton at 7:00 pm.
 
BART Ticket Sales
BART ticket sales for November will take place on Wednesday, November 1, and Thursday, November 2. Students can order discounted BART tickets in the Parent Resource Center, room D-224 during lunchtime only. The cost is $16 per ticket, but the ticket has $32 in value. Tickets can be purchased only with cash; no checks or credit cards accepted. Students can order up to 4 tickets per month.
 
Volunteer Opportunity
Interested in merging your passion for soccer with a desire to benefit local refugee youth? Get involved as a Soccer Without Borders Ambassador or Summer Camp Volunteer. Contact cristy at soccerwithoutborders.org for more information.
 
Spring Break Travel Opportunity
Are you interested in an adventure to Peru for Spring Break 2018? We will visit the Sacred Valley, Cuzco, and Machu Picchu. You'll get to start corresponding with a penpal in Peru right away and get to spend a day with them while on the trip!
 
Come to a 10 minute information session in room M106 with Señora Schwartz today from 3:40-3:50 after school or Wednesday (November 1st) during lunch from 11:45-11:55 to learn more about this opportunity.  ALL students are welcome, no Spanish experience is necessary.
 
2018 Yearbook
Yearbooks are on sale for $65.00 for a limited time! To order a yearbook online, go to this website: www.yearbookordercenter.com and enter school order number 16356. You can also drop by room C-327 during 7th period to purchase a yearbook with cash or a check made out to Berkeley High School.
