Here are the morning announcements for October 23 and 24:
Monday, October 23
Morning Sports Report
Interested in winter sports?
·Step 1 - register on Family ID by October 31.
·Step 2 - upload a current doctor's clearance (form is on the BHS website)
·Step 3 - you must have a minimum 2.0 GPA for Quarter 1
Come to the Athletic Director's office Tuesday, Oct 24, Room J-207, from 5:00-7:00 pm to get help with registration and ask questions!
The Varsity Football team fell to Piedmont on Friday, but they return to Jacket Stadium this Friday for Senior Night.
Quarter 1 Ends This Friday
As we approach the end of the first marking period on Friday, October 27, we want to remind all students about the tutoring services available on campus.
·Students enrolled in Math 1, Math 2, or Math 3 can go to teacher-led tutoring Monday through Thursday from 3:30 until 4:30 pm on the second floor of the H Building; ask your math teacher for details.
·There are also teacher tutorials for English, History, Science and World Languages. Today, Monday, for example, teachers are available after school until 4:30 pm for help with 9th grade Physics, Chemistry, upper-grades Physics, Biology, French, Spanish, Ethnic Studies, and World History. ·Finally, the College and Career Center is open from 3:30 - 6:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Use this space to catch up on schoolwork, receive tutoring from college students in all subjects, fulfill Math hour requirements, and clear unverified absences.

Tuesday, October 24
Saturday School
The next Saturday School will be held this Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in room M-301. Attending this Saturday School will clear up to 6 unverified period absences from October. Students who wish to attend Saturday School must sign up in the Attendance Office before school, during lunch or after school. We can only take up to 30 students per Saturday School session.
Morning Sports Report
Today the Girls Tennis team hosts Piedmont at the King Middle School courts, and the Girls Volleyball teams travel to Alameda to play Encinal High School.
Quarter 1 Ends This Friday

Multicultural Night
Auditions for the 2017 Multicultural Show are this Wednesday-Friday during lunch or Thursday after school in the East Gallery, which is across from the Cafeteria. Performers in the show can sing, dance, perform a poem or speech, etc. that shows how their culture is important to them. Contact Solomon Chang or Mr. V to sign up, or head directly to the East Gallery during audition times.
