*Upcoming Financial Aid Support Event: *November 9, 2017 @ 6:30 PM



Cash for College/FAFSA Workshop: Complete the FAFSA Application with help
from counselors on November 9, 2017 at Berkeley High Library at 6:30
PM-8:30 PM.



Bring the following information to complete the FAFSA forms:

1.  Student and Parent Social Security #’s (and Alien Registration #’s if
you are not a U.S. Citizen).

- If you don’t have either, you may be eligible for the CA DREAM Act App
and scholarships

2. Bring your family’s most recent 2016 Federal tax forms like 1040, W-2,
bank statements, etc. You will not have to reveal this information to
anyone, but you will need it to complete the forms.

- If your family does not file taxes and/or receives public assistance
please bring those statements.

- To locate a FREE Tax Preparation Center in your neighborhood, visit
www.earnitkeepitsaveit.org; EarnIt! KeepIt! SaveIt! is a program of the
United Way of the Bay Area. Information updated January 2018

3. BUSD has submitted your Cal Grant GPA to the California Student Aid
Commission. To check the status of your Cal Grant, create an account at
webgrants4students.org

4. Check college/university websites for special financial aid deadlines
and forms (i.e. College Board’s CSS Profile).
