COLLEGE APPLICATION TIPS:

1. UC Doorways List of a-g classes:

2. No transcript  and letters of recommendations are needed for UC, CSU,  and University of Washington applications.

3. For Common Application: Transcripts, school profiles or reports, and letters or recommendation are uploaded and sent electronically by academic counselor and teachers.  Student must enter each name and e-mail on the Recommenders page.  Be careful with spelling or the recommender will not receive the link to send any documents.

4. Application fee waivers may be available in each application for those who are eligible.  Follow directions in each application to fill in # in household, income, etc.  If one is not granted an application fee waiver, a student has 4 waivers in the MySAT account if a student had a SAT test fee waiver.

SEND SAT or ACT Test Scores:
For CSU & SAT: Use code 3594 so all CSUs will see the score. Pay for only 1 report to CSU.
For UC: Choose 1 UC campus and all 9 will see the score.  Pay for only 1 report to UC.
For Private or other State Schools: Look up College Code for each school.
Check for 4 free score reports with your registration, if date is still valid.

ESSAY READERS:

Mondays: 9:00 AM- 9:50 AM
Tuesdays-Thursdays: at lunch and after school

Drop in, sign in for your name to be called by an essay reader for 1:1 with brainstorming, revising, editing, whatever you request.  Bring a printed copy of drafts.
