Drop in, sign in for your name to be called by an essay reader for 1:1 with brainstorming, revising, editing, whatever you request. Bring a printed copy of drafts.

UC WRITING TIPS: Respond to 4/8 Personal Insight Questions ;Maximum of 350 words (no minimum); Should answer the question and express your experience, interests, ambitions,etc.

Do use "I" statements to talk about yourself- personality, talents, values, potential for success

Write persuasively with specific, concrete examples.

Provide different topics for each question.

Proofread and edit for grammar and spelling.

Get feedback for suggestions, but your answers should reflect your own ideas and be written by you alone- your voice.

Save your answers, copy and paste.

Avoid creative writing, poems, cliches, quotes,jokes.

Do not write about other people more than yourself.

Do not repeat information or give long list of accomplishments or activities. This information is in the application.

Spell out acronyms.
