Hi BHS families-



*BOLD* (Berkeley High Families Owning Learning Differences) is a support
group for parents of children with Learning Differences. This group, formed
in 2013 by Berkeley High parents, meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at
BHS in the College and Career Center. BOLD is dedicated to finding ways to
support, empower and educate students with learning disabilities and their
families by fostering understanding and advocating for effective
intervention



We would like to invite all families with kids with learning differences to
join BOLD's monthly meetings. This is a great way to connect with other
families and to share resources. You are not alone! Our next meeting is
October 16th and will feature Ms, Aguas from the College and Career Center
@ BHS to discuss college options for kids with learning differences.



Following is a calendar of future BOLD meeting dates and proposed topics
for the 2017-2018 school year. Please note that all topics are subject to
change based on the availability of speakers. Also, due to holidays, etc.
some meetings are scheduled for other than the 2nd Monday of the month. We
will make all efforts to send out dates in advance via the etree.



Oct 16: Navigating college options

Nov 13: Understanding 504/IEPs

Dec 11: DRDEF: Your rights

Jan 8: Open

Feb 12: Homework skills

Mar 12: Superintendent Evans & other Board members?

Apr 9: Neuropsych person

May 14: Student Panel
