[BHS Etree] SPORTS: Make-Up Clearing Dates for Fall Sports

Fall Sports Registration Update

Last two make-up clearing dates for Fall sports are *Wednesday, August 30 *
and* September 6, 3:30-4:30*

Every student athlete must have COMPLETED the online registration on Family
ID and uploaded a Doctors clearance to the registration or bring it during
the clearing times. Please read the information listed below.

*Please note:*

Cheer and Field Hockey tryouts are completed, rosters are closed and they
are no longer accepting new team members.

Volleyball is holding a final tryout session on Wednesday 8/30.  After that
rosters will be closed and no new tryouts.  Please contact the Volleyball
coach for more information about the tryouts.

For Cross Country, Girls Golf, Football, Girls Tennis and Water Polo please
contact the coach of that sport for additional information on try outs -
contact info available on the BHS website, Athletics Tab.

BHS Families,

Athletics is switching to online Athletic Packets through a secure platform
called FamilyID.

FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy,
user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more
administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you
register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in
your FamilyID profile. You enter your information* only once *for each
family member for multiple uses and multiple programs.

The Berkeley High Parent Resource Center and the Berkeley High Athletic
Director’s office are available to answer your questions as we make this
transition.  Parent Resource will be open in August for those who do not
have access to computers.

*BEFORE YOU REGISTER:*

Students are required to have a current medical exam/physical in order to
complete the Athletic clearing process.  Completed Physical/Medical
Clearance Forms must be submitted to the Athletic Director’s office during
the specified clearing times/dates or uploaded on FamilyID before the
Athletic Registration can be completed and approved. Physical/Medical
Clearance forms can be downloaded from the Athletic’s page website:

*INFORMATION NEEDED TO REGISTER:*

Plan on spending approx. 20 minutes to complete the process.  It will be
helpful to have your Student ID number and health insurance information,
including policy number, handy to allow for accurate completion of your
online registration.

Go to this link BHS Online Athletic Registration
<https://www.familyid.com/organizations/berkeley-high-school> and follow
these steps:

1. Click on the link “2017-2018 Athletic Registration.”

2. Next click on the green *Register Now *button and scroll, if necessary,
to the *Create Account/Log In *green buttons.

3. If this is your first time using FamilyID, click *Create Account* and

  - *Create *your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner
First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password.

  - Select *I Agree *to the FamilyID Terms of Service.

  - Click *Create Account.*

  - You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. If
you don’t see the email, check your e-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.)

  - Click on the link in your activation E-mail, which will log you in to
FamilyID.com

4. If you already have a FamilyID account, click *Log In*.

5. Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All
fields with a red * are required to have an answer.

6. Click the *Save & Continue *button when your form is complete.

7. Review your registration summary.

8. You will receive an email from FamilyID confirming your registration.
At any time, you may log in at *www.familyid.com
<http://www.familyid.com/> *to update your information and to check your
registration(s).

If the link is not working, go to www.familyid.com. Click on the link “find
a program” and search Berkeley High School.  Click on Berkeley High School.
If you need assistance with registration, contact FamilyID at*:*
support at familyid.com or 888-800-5583 x1 <(888)%20800-5583>.

Remember, in order to be cleared for tryouts you must come to the Athletic
Director’s office during the times/dates below to pick up your “cleared”
card.

**Please note - students who fail to complete the registration process
PRIOR to tryouts may miss the first day(s) of tryouts.

Aug. 30 - 3:30-4:30pm

Sept. 6 - 3:30-4:30pm
