For those of you who do not hear the announcements where you are during second period, or if you would like to read them each day, you can find them in the Daily Bulletin section of Powerschool.

No Morning Announcements This Week
Because of AP & IB exams, there will be no morning announcements on those days. We will resume morning announcements on Tuesday, May 16. In the meantime, check the PowerSchool Student Daily Bulletin for important information about upcoming events and activities; we will continue to update it daily.

Spring Musical Closes This Weekend
Your last two chances to see BHS's spring musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, are today and tomorrow at 7pm in the Little Theatre. Tickets sold at door, and are just $5 for students.

NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 15
All Berkeley Unified School District schools and offices will be closed on Monday, May 15, in observance of the Malcolm X Birthday Holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 16.

BHS Summer School
Attention Juniors: Summer School Applications are now available. Summer school classes may be taken for remediation only, which means either to raise an existing grade from a "D" or "F" in a class you have already taken, or to make a a missed grade-level class. The next deadline is this Friday, 5/12/17.

BHS Film Festival
Students: Have you produced a video that you'd like screened as part of the BHS Film Festival which will take place on Tuesday, May 23? If so, check your school email today! Submissions are due by Sunday, May 14 at 5:00pm.

Important PE Waiver Information
Please turn in your completed Spring 2017 PE Waiver (yellow copy) to the Attendance Office beginning Tuesday, May 16th and no later than Friday, May 26, 2017 by 4:00 pm. The waiver must be signed by the same coach who wrote your letter early in the fall. No exceptions to this deadline will be granted.

The Attendance Office will begin distributing Summer 2017 PE Waiver forms on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. The first portion of the waiver process is due back to the attendance office on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 by 4:00 pm. No exceptions will be made for missed deadlines.

Jazz Ensemble Performs Tonight
Berkeley High School Jazz Ensemble plays the UC Theatre on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 7:00 PM. The event is a BHS Jazz fundraiser and CD release party for the BHS Jazz alumni band Alma Matters, whose name is a play on words meaning alumni and soul. The evening is a triple play with BHS Jazz, Alma Matters and Sparkler and promises to be fantastically fun and inspiring! Tickets are available online at the UC Theatre
