Dear BHS Families -

I wanted to give you an update on events as they are unfolding here at
school today. Students were flexible and accommodating this morning,
entering campus via the Milvia Street entrances. All classes are calmly
underway across our campus this morning. We are continuing to keep all
Allston Way and MLK entrances to school closed today and have increased
safety officer presence at the Milvia Street entrances.

There are currently about 30-35 protesters gathered in Civic Park. As I
messaged to students on the morning announcements, *we want students to
stay completely away from the park today.* I will continue to remain in
close communication with BPD and our school safety team on the perimeter of
the campus to ensure that we keep BHS students and staff safe.

I will update you as the day progresses.

Thank you,

Principal, Berkeley High School
