The BHS Safety Committee is recruiting parents, students, teachers and
staff to join the Committee.



The next meeting of the BHS Safety Committee will be Tuesday March 14th,
2017 from 4:30-6:00 pm in H104.


The Committee discusses and recommends positions and strategies on many
issues related to school safety, including traffic/pedestrian/bicycle
safety to and from school, reporting and handling crime at school, use of
restorative justice and other programs for at-risk students, bullying,
hate-crimes, sexual harassment, environmental hazard reduction on campus,
and disaster preparedness.  The Committee is responsible for drafting the
state-required School Safety Plan.



The Safety Committee is a sub-committee of the School Site Council and
usually meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 4:30 - 6 PM in
the H Building Room H104, On Campus Intervention (OCI) office.



The Safety Committee will meet on the following upcoming 2017 dates:

   - March 14
      - March 28
      - April 11
      - April 25
      - May 9
      - May 23
      - June 13

Please contact Kiernan Rok, kiernanrok at berkeley.net, about the BHS Safety
Committee and  Isa Gaillard, igaillard at alamedacountysr2s.org, about Safe
Routes to School activities and the upcoming school site assessment at BHS
the morning of March 14th.
