*News About Mathematics Competitions*
Congratulations to Dylan Goetting, Nory Klop-Packel, and Nick Diamant,
whose scores on the recent American Mathematics 10A and 12A Competition
qualified them for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam. Only the
top 2.5% of participants nationwide form the AMC 10 and the top 5% from
the AMC 12 are invited to take the AIME, a truly outstanding
achievement. Berkeley had a record number of participants take the AMC
10 and 12 tests this year. Congratulations to all. Come to room H-216
today at lunch to get your results.
The Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad test will be held this afternoon in
room H-216 from 3:30-7:30. If you didn't sign up but are interested in
participating, there is plenty of room. Come to room H-216 at lunch to
let Mr. Henri know so he will have enough tests printed and pizza ordered.
