There has been an amazing response to our initial call to support the BIHS
Junior Class Leadership Team's drive to provide socks, umbrellas, and
winter gear to the 124 homeless students at BHS. Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE: *Our partner cafes are no longer donation drop-off sites.
All donations should be brought to the Berkeley High main office.* We are
accepting donations of socks, umbrellas, or winter gear *until next Friday,
February 24*.

*Checks can be made out to: *

Berkeley Schools Fund

Attn: Homeless Fund

The generous donations have helped us smash through our goal and now we are
aiming to be able to provide for more of the over 500 students registered
as homeless in BUSD. Homeless means that these students have no permanent
home and are living in a homeless shelter, couch surfing, or on the
streets, or move between houses frequently.

*This cold, especially rainy winter has been hard for these students*, and
we would like your help in gathering these materials for them so that we
may support students that have a hard enough time already in their pursuit
of an education.

Thanks again for your support!

Sincerely,

Patricia Adaya, Junior Class Co-President
& The BIHS Junior Class Leadership Team
