*MAJOR SHOUT-OUT to all the students who made it to A Winter Wonderland 
dance as well as to the amazing student organizers of the Muslim Student 
Association presentation and Moving Forward assembly. /Watch the video 
at the end of this message./ We hope your spirits are raised up as we 
enter February. Here are few activities to look out for...*

Today -

​Do you want to be president, school board rep, plan the Holiday Meal or 
speak the daily bulletin? *J*​*oin school wide ASB* leadership**​**!*!! 
For 2017-18 school year applications, please visit our Leadership

Feb. 10 & 11 - Last chance to support your friends at the *Vagina 
Monologues *this weekend. The show starts at 7PM in the Little Theater. 
Tickets are $10-12 sliding scale and all the proceeds go to 
organizations fighting to end violence against women and girls.

​Feb. 13 - 24. *Talent Show Auditions*. Do you enjoy performing or want 
to get your first taste of the stage? We want you to rock it, so 
audition for the 2017 Talent Show with your song, dance, rap, spoken 
word, comedy, etc... Sign up to audition outside of the leadership office. ​

Today - Feb 24 - *Send us your delegates* for the Election Convention. 
Delegates are representatives of every 9^th -11^th grade social studies 
class at Berkeley High.  Each group of delegates will be assigned a 
state, US territory, or district and asked to dress up as a way to have 
some fun and simulate the national conventions. Delegates return from 
the convention with info and feedback on all of the elected candidates 
before the ASB Voting Period in late March.

CANCELLED -*Student Club Meet & Greet *is cancelled until further notice 
due to more rain...Look out for a full club fair in late March featuring 
currently approved student clubs!!!​

  * *B.I.O.N.I.C.*will host a Valentine's Day gram sale the next week at
    lunch in the C-Gallery. Stop by their table to send a note to a
    friend, friend's friend, or a special friend.

Winter Athletics is approaching the playoffs so catch all the action

  * ​February 8 Berkeley Unified School District Board meeting at 7:30 pm.
  * February 9 - Spring Open House at BHS from 7-9 pm.
  * February 21 - Mental Health Speaker Series during 2nd/3rd period
    hosted by Athena C, Commissioner of Health. Teachers can sign up
    with Mr. V.
  * March 7 - Election Convention -/A grand exercise in politics & civic
    engagement. /
  * March 17 - Talent Show. Cheer your friends on as they shine in the
    spotlight on stage.
  * March TBD - Senior Info meeting - Click to read the Class of 2017
