*WHAT:* CASH FOR COLLEGE/FAFSA WORKSHOP



Complete the FAFSA application (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
with hands-on help from BHS College Advisors and East Bay Consortium in
English and Spanish.



*WHEN*: Tuesday, January 24, 2017

5:30 PM-6:00 PM:  Light Refreshments in BHS Library

6:00 PM-8:00 PM:  FAFSA Workshop on library computers or College & Career
Center computers, (CCC) in D-221



*WHERE*: Start in BHS Library on second floor of main admin "D" Building at
Allston Way & Milvia St.



*HOW: *No registration needed.  Just show up to work on FAFSA, but please
bring the following information to complete the FAFSA:



·  Driver’s license, if you have one

·  Social Security Card or number, if you have one

·  Alien registration number, if you have one

·  Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) – yours or your
parents’ Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) number, if you have
one

·  List of colleges you are interested in attending

·  Most current 2016 bank statements

·  Parents’ most current 2016 bank statements

·  Any records of untaxed income such as welfare benefits, Social Security
benefits, or child support payments

·  NEW THIS YEAR – The FAFSA and CADAA applications will utilize your 2015
tax and income information to apply for 2017-18 student aid. While
completing the FAFSA, you will use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) to
populate your 2015 tax information. No need to bring tax and income
information UNLESS YOU HAVE NOT FILED 2015 TAXES.

·  If you have not filed your 2015 taxes, you will need the following
documents to complete the FAFSA and CADAA applications:

·         2015 W2’s or income information

·        Parents’ 2015 W2’s or income information
