announcements where you are during second period, or if you would like to

*Berkeley High School Bulletin for Monday, December 5, 2016*



*Art to Heart Club*

Come to Art to Heart Club on Wednesdays at lunch in C115 to do art, listen
to music, and reflect on your week. You don't need any prior experience and
art supplies will be provided.

*Morning Sports Report*

There are a lot of scores to report this morning from this weekend's games.
The girls varsity basketball team went 3-0 at the Dougherty Valley Winter
Classic with dominating wins against Las Lomas, Dougherty Valley and Dublin
High School. The girls JV basketball team edged out their hosts at the
Pittsburg High JV Tournament.



The girls freshman soccer team remains undefeated as they placed 1st in the
Liberty Tournament with victories over San Ramon Valley, Heritage, College
Park and Carondelet. The boys varsity soccer teams traveled to Pleasanton
to play Amador Valley; the varsity and freshman teams lost but the JV team
tied their match.



We don't have results from last weekend's wrestling matches, but the
wrestling team goes back to the mat this afternoon in another tournament.

*Softball Information Meeting*

There will be an informational meeting for all interested athletes for the
upcoming softball season on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 4pm in the M gym to learn
about off-season conditioning program.

*Computer Science Education Week*



This week is Computer Science Education Week, a nationwide program
dedicated to inspiring students to take computer science courses before
they get to college. Here at Berkeley High, there are four Computer Science
courses that are available for students from all learning communities,
whether you are just a beginner at coding or have lots of experience.

*Saturday School*

The only Saturday School session for December is this Saturday, December
10. If you have any unverified, or UNV absences, from November that need to
be cleared, come to the Attendance Office (room D-134) to sign up for
Saturday School, which meets in room H-207 from 9:00 until noon. Up to 30
students will be accepted for Saturday School on a first come, first serve
basis.



If you are a student who is at-risk of being ineligible to attend prom, or
ineligible to play in scrimmages or games because of excessive absences,
Saturday School is for you. Students who sign up for Saturday School can
clear up to 6 period absences when they stay the entire time and complete
missing assignments.
