*Morning Sports Report*
Last week the Athletics Department hosted a ceremony to honor five female
Jacket athletes as they signed letters of intent to play at the college
level:
* Xinavane Foreman: Cal State Fullerton, Basketball
* Mikaela Hammond Holland: University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Crew
* Isabella Marshall: University of California, Berkeley, Crew
* Robyn Wampler: University of California, San Diego, Softball
* Roxanne Wiblin: University of San Diego, Volleyball
During the ceremony, their coaches offered tributes to each athlete, and
their teammates, families, and friends were there to cheer them on. Visit

of our own Fab Five. Congratulations!

*The Jacket Newspaper Wants to Hear from You!*
The Berkeley High Jacket newspaper wants submissions from the BHS community
in response to last week's walkout for its November 18th issue. They are
accepting submissions such as poetry, visual art, photography, writing or
any other forms of self-expression. The hard deadline for submissions is
Tuesday, November 15 at 11:59 p.m. Please send submissions/questions to
kailifmeier at gmail.com.

*College & Career Center Announcements*
This week there several events hosted by the CCC, including:
*An information session for students in ALL grades interested in taking
college classes while in high school - Tuesday at lunchtime -- pizza will
be provided!
*An after school drop-in workshop on Tuesday for seniors who are working on
essays and applications for the CSUs, UCs, Common App schools and other
institutions; College Advisors will be available to assist you
*A Financial Aid Information Night for Parents and Guardians of Seniors
(Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.)
For more information, please review the CCC Bulletin that was sent out on
Thursday or visit the CCC, room D-221, before school or during lunch.

*Reminder from the BHS Safety Team*
This is a reminder to ALL students: You must clear the campus at 3:45 pm if
you do not have a 7th period class, if you are not involved in an after
school program or organized student activity, or if you do not play on a
winter sports team. Students who do not clear the campus may receive a
phone call home and additional consequences. Thank you, students, for your
cooperation.

*NO SCHOOL November 23-25*
All Berkeley Unified School District campuses and offices will be closed
from Wednesday, November 23, through Friday, November 25, for the
Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, November 28.
