Good morning Berkeley High School families,

As you may have heard, our students gathered together this morning 
peacefully on the courtyard for nearly an hour and a half, speaking and 
expressing their emotions regarding the results of last night's election.

At this time, a large group of students have left BHS and are headed up 
to UC Berkeley, joined by several administrators and teachers. Other 
administrators and teachers have remained behind to ensure that students 
who remain on campus are safe and have places to go throughout the 
length of this walkout. The Berkeley Police Department is assisting with 
coverage at intersections as students make their way to UC Berkeley.

We will update you with more information as the day progresses.
