*New Attendance Policy for Student Athletes*

Student Athletes: A new attendance policy went into effect on Monday,
October 17, 2016. Any student athlete who has 15 or more unverified
period absences will not be able to play in games or scrimmages Students
can still practice with their team. Students have an opportunity to
clear unverified absences from the previous month during Saturday
School. Once the unverified absences are cleared, student athletes can
play again as soon as they are notified by their coach. If you have
questions about your attendance, please visit the Attendance Office in
room D-134 before school, during lunch or after school.

*Unity Week Theme Days*

Unity Week 2016 is here! We invite everyone to participate in this
week's Dress Up themes:

  * Monday: Pajama Day

  * Tuesday: Twin Day

  * Wednesday: Wilderness Day

  * Thursday: 80’s/90s (seniors) / Flag Day (everyone else)

  * Friday: Red & Gold Day

*Unity Week Updates*

For those keeping track of the Unity Points scoreboard, follow the
action live on the BHS Leadership website
<http://berkeleyschools.net/leadership/>. After great participation in
all events, the juniors have taken an early lead on the first day of
competition. The freshman also had a strong showing, but their lack of
participation on Pajama Day raised some eyebrows. Hopefully, the
Sophomores show more organization during Twin Day. Unity points can be
earned by class competitions during lunch, the campus clean-up on
Wednesday, daily dress participation, and the most cans contributed by
Friday for the Holiday Meal. See past posts for more details on the events.
