The Academic Choice Advisory Council, or ACAC, is a group of teachers, parents, students and administrators who meet once a month to discuss the present and future of Academic Choice, provide support for our teachers, and enrichment for our students through field trips and other community-building activities.

Our first meeting of the 2016-2017 school year will be held on Friday, September 2 from 7:30 to 8:35 am (yes, in the morning!) in Conference Room B in the D Building of Berkeley High School.

The AC community, as well as the public, are welcome to attend. We especially welcome parents and guardians of students who are new to Academic Choice this year. The ACAC provides a great opportunity to share ideas, voice concerns, and make funding decisions that directly impact AC students.

On the agenda this month:

-Welcome to new AC parents, co-lead teacher and student representatives
-Public/Parent comments and questions
-Planning for the 2016-2017 AC community event calendar

Sincerely,

Donna Storey
AC Parent and ACAC Secretary
