Dear Community,

Registration for the 2016-17 school year begins next week. Please find 
here the required Health Center and Emergency Cards and important 
information from the Athletic Department, Leadership, and the BHS 
Development Group along with a general FAQ for the 2016-17 school year.

We are asking every family to complete an application for free/reduced 
price school lunch. Even if your student does not intend to take 
advantage of the lunch program, every qualified application is counted 
towards bringing significant federal (Title I) and state (LCFF/LCAP) 
funding to our schools! Please visit 
https://secure.ezmealapp.com/Default.aspx to access the secure online 
meal application. If your student does not qualify for free/reduced 
price lunch, and you want an option that will make it convenient for 
your student to purchase meals in the BHS Food Court, there is a 
separate application for a student meal debit account for charging meals 
at https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx.

*Freshmen Orientation and Registration*

*Last Names A – K *Thursday, August 25, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

*Last Names L – Z ***Friday, August 26, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Incoming 9th graders should report to the Donahue Gym by 8:00 am for the 
start of their orientation. Each orientation will consist of an 
assembly, small group sessions facilitated by Link Leaders, and a campus 
tour. Link Leaders are trained upperclassmen students who will guide a 
group of 9th graders through orientation until the end of the school 
year. For more info on Link Crew, please contact John Villavicencio (aka

photo ID taken, receive the BHS organizer (free to all students – paid 
by the BHS Development Group), have a chance to purchase an Associated 
Student Body (ASB) Sticker, sign up for a locker, and turn in required 
forms. Please consider sending your student with a bag lunch.

*Make-Up Registration Session *Friday, August 26

Doors will open at 9:00 and close at 11:30.

*First Day of School, Tuesday, August 30*, 8:27 a.m. There is no "0" 
period on this day only.

/Please Note: School starts on a Tuesday this fall, instead of the 
usual Wednesday /

*For Students Unable to Attend Registration*
On the first day of school (Tuesday, August 30), please check in at the 
counseling office in the Admin building, starting at 8:00, where 
students can get a printed copy of their schedule. Students should also 
be able to view their class schedule in PowerSchool on Monday, August 
29. In the PowerSchool Student Daily Bulletin and during the morning 
announcements during the first week of school we will announce Textbook 
Room hours and share info about photo ID make ups.
