*SENIORS: Graduation Tickets*
All graduating seniors get two free bowl tickets for the graduation 
ceremony. These tickets can be picked up daily from 3:00-4:00 pm from 
the BHS Box Office, which is near the A Gate on Allston Way. *Seniors: 
/before you can pick up your free tickets/*/,/ you must complete the 
online Senior Exit Report and clear any book, material or athletic 
debts. Please check your student Email account for details.

The Jacket has extended the deadline for 2016-2017 staff applications.

*Student Science Symposium*
It’s time for the annual Berkeley High School Science Symposium. Please 
join students in AP/IB Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science as 
they present their research project posters. The symposium will take 
place in the Community Theater Galleries on Wednesday, June 8th from 5-7pm.

*Queer Prom*
There will be a Queer Prom for LGBTQ+ students this Friday, June 10 at 
the Impact Hub in Oakland. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in the C 
gallery at lunch, or online at EventBrite. This is open to BHS students 
and high school students from other other Bay Area schools.

*Today is in Election Day in California*
The Presidential Primary Election is today, Tuesday, June 7. The polls 
are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Students and staff who are 
registered to vote are encouraged to go to the polls.

*JUNIORS: Smarter Balanced Assessments*
We are nearing the end of state testing for 11th graders. Juniors who 
have not completed testing will be able to finish this week during 
periods 4-6. We will notify you or your teachers of the days and times. 
Teachers: we thank you in advance for releasing students to complete 
testing.

Semester 2 Final Exam Schedule*

Final exams begin on Tuesday, June 14 and end on Thursday, June 16. The 
schedule is here:

*Athletics Information for 2016-2017*
Tryouts for Fall Sports will begin in August: 8/8 for Football and 8/15 
for all other Fall sports. Please plan your summer travels accordingly. 
The Athletic Packet is now available. We encourage EVERYONE (including 
Winter and Spring Athletes) to fill this out over the summer and turn in 
during the August dates for clearing. This will set you up for 
participation in sports every season you choose. Packets may be picked 
up in the main office, the Athletic Director’s office or downloaded from 
Google Drive.

*Martial Arts!*
Come and enjoy 2 free weeks of mixed martial arts from June 20 to July 1 
at SBG NorCal @ 1450 San Pablo ave Berkeley. This camp is appropriate 
for all levels, absolute beginners to more experience athletes. Campers 
who successfully complete the 2 week day camp will be eligible to attend 
a free extended cam training 2 evenings per week through the remainder
